We compare the Sony Xperia Z3 vs the Z2

Sony’s fantastic new flagship Z series has a brand new edition, the Sony Xperia Z3.

The Z3 is without everything we loved about the Z2 and more. Fantastic new features mean that the entertainment you were once forced to leave at home is now available wherever you are, and just when you thought the design couldn’t get any better, new curves make it the best yet.

Check out our quick look video review from the IFA electronics show in Berlin.

HOW DO THEY STACK UP?

As a general rule, Sony releases a new flagship smartphone every six months. While the rest of the market tend to separate releases by 12 months, Sony is more invested in staying at the front of its fans’ minds, than offering radical changes every year. So, in a nutshell, there isn’t a huge physical difference between the Xperia Z2 and the new Z3. But there is something big happening behind the scenes – Remote Play.

Remote Play allows you to enjoy PlayStation games even when you’re not in the same room as your console. For that matter, you don’t even need to be in the same country. Take your game with you, wherever you go.

There has also been some major improvements to the battery life, with a nod to Xperia STAMINA mode. The Z3 can go without a charge for up to 48 hours, which is great news for those that don’t always have the option of plugging into the wall every night before bed.

Of course, all the usual goodies that features on the Z2, like water resistance, the amazing 20.7 megapixel camera, and dual front-facing speakers have all made a much anticipated return on the most recent instalment.

If you think that the Xperia Z2 or Xperia Z3 sound up your street, why not check out our price plans by following the links above.
