The Doro Liberto 820 Mini is a compact version of the full-sized Doro Liberto 820. And just like its bigger brother, the Doro Liberto 820 Mini has been designed for the older, less able-bodied or less confident phone users. Our video review explains:
The Doro Liberto 820 Minicomes packed with easy to use functions, along with a few support features that allow carers and relatives to help the out the user remotely. For example:
Large, clear on-screen icons– Everything looks nice and big, so users with less than perfect eyesight shouldn’t have to strain too hard to see what’s going on. Simplicity is the key here, and commonly used features like contacts, email and messaging are all nice and clear, with no needless clutter.
Physical buttons– This phone has actual real-life buttons at the bottom for ‘options’, ‘home’ and ‘back’. Not cutting edge by any means, but a real help for older phone owners who will benefit from being able to easily access these commonly used features – especially arthritic users.
Charging dock -The Doro Liberto 820 Mini has a compatible charging dock, allowing the phone to be simply placed into the cradle. This makes it a quick and easy job, and does away with the tricky job of attaching charging cables to the phone. And as it charges, the phone will automatically start a slideshow, bringing the users prized pics to life.
Support features– The Doro Liberto 820 Mini has all the great support features that were first showcased on the full sized version, like a built-in coach and My Doro Manager -the app that lets others take control the phone remotely, on behalf of the user. So, if you’re elderly relative is struggling with the phone’s settings, you can adjust things for them or even do a spot of troubleshooting. You can also push photos onto their phone, so even if your relative sometimes forgets to open their messages, they’ll still get to see the latest family snaps.
All the other usual smartphone features you’d expect are on this camera, including a decent 5MP camera, and a good-sized 1500 mAh Li-ion battery.
The Doro Liberto 820 Mini is well worth considering if you have elderly or less able-bodied friends or relatives that want to get connected. And it’s also a great choice for novice users that might be lacking a bit of confidence when it comes to using smartphones.
