Samsung shows off new Galaxy range

Greetings phone fans. We’re here at a Samsung event in London, where we’ve just seen the latest Galaxy range in the flesh. Say hello to the Galaxy J4+, Galaxy J6+ and the Galaxy A7. They’re all crammed with exciting premium features without the high price tag.

There’s one very special phone we can’t talk about yet. We’ll bring you news on that phone shortly, but for now, check these out.

Samsung Galaxy J4+

Let’s start with the Samsung Galaxy J4+. That large 6-inch screen is the first thing you notice. It’s a HD+ display that Samsung says will immerse you in your favourite movies, games and music videos. Dolby Atmos speakers should make all those things sound amazing.

You’ve also got all the photo features needed for great photography and social media posting, such as a 13MP rear camera with a f/1.9 aperture, and a front 5MP camera with a f/2.2 aperture. Throw in selfie focus and an adjustable LED flash in there, too.

Under the hood you’ve got 32GB of storage, which you can up to 512GB with a MicroSD card. A 1.4 GHz Quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM will make for fast performance. The 3,300 mAh battery is an all-dayer too.

Samsung Galaxy J6+

The biggest difference between the J6+ and the J4+ is the dual rear camera. On the back you have a 13MP and 5MP camera, and on the front, is an 8MP camera that’s perfect for selfies. Both sets of cameras have Samsung’s Live Focus technology, so you can adjust the level of background blur as you’re taking the photo.

Other great features include a fingerprint scanner and facial recognition. The J6+ also has 32GB of storage that you can upgrade, and the same processor and battery life as the J4+.

And again, you have a huge 6-inch HD+ display, Dolby Atmos speakers, and a battery to last the day.

Samsung Galaxy A7

Here’s where things get really serious when it comes to photography. The A7 has a triple-lens camera. That’s three cameras on the rear: 24MP, 5MP and an 8MP lens with optical image stabilization. They all have Live Focus for background blur adjustment on the fly, to make your photos look super professional.

The Galaxy A7 also has the fastest processor of the three. It has a 2.2/1.6 GHz Octa-core processor, and 4GB of RAM. That should make for extremely fast performance without you having to close any apps to speed up your phone. Naturally the A7 will run anything you can throw at it. And that 6-inch HD+ screen is a Super AMOLED one for super sharp images.

Storage is bigger too. The Galaxy A7 has 64GB of space so you can store even more photos and apps. Insert a MicroSD card for even more space (up to 512GB).

And that rounds up what we got to see of the latest Samsung Galaxy range. You’ve got the J4+ and J6+ with a single and dual camera, and then you’ve got the Galaxy A7, which has a cracking triple camera setup. What do you think?

The Samsung Galaxy J6+ and the Samsung Galaxy A7 are now on sale at Carphone Warehouse. And keep an eye out for the Samsung Galaxy J4+ real soon.
