The new Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has arrived, confirming rumours that the Korean giant would launch a new class of premium phablet.
The S6 edge+ is, essentially, a big version of the S6 edge that was launched earlier in the year. The double-edged Quad HD screen has grown to 5.7-inches, which gives you more space for movies and multitasking. The great thing here is that the quality is just as good, with bright colours, deep contrast and amazing detail.
Samsung has also added something new to the edge screen - you can now launch apps in less than a second from it.
But launching your favourite apps so quickly isn’t just down to the new edge interface, it’s also helped by the impressive 4GB RAM. That’s 25% more memory than any other phone in the UK, which means the edge+ can keep more things running in the background without slowing down.
There’s also a big new battery that’ll give you more time between charges. And, of course, the S6 edge+ has the same fast charging and wireless charging as its smaller brother so you can spend less time plugged into the wall.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ keeps the best bits
The rest of the phone is pretty much the same as the original S6 edge. Everything’s made from metal and glass and is designed to be as thin as possible – so despite the big screen, the S6 edge+ feels remarkably small.
The cameras are the same too, so you get the brilliant 16MP shooter on the back - which is good enough for professional-looking photos - and the sharp 5MP selfie camera.
If you like high-end games, or just enjoy a really fast experience from your phone, you’ll be pleased to know the S6 edge+ also has the same supercharged processor as the small edge. With eight cores and a top speed of 2.1GHz, it makes light work of everything you want to do.
