Motorola on a roll
There’s no stopping the Motorola factory line. Following the release of the new Moto E, new Moto G, Moto X Play, Moto X Style and a second gen version of the popular 360 smartwatch, it’s surprising there’s any fuel left in the lines at Moto HQ. But apparently there is…
Introducing the company’s fifth new phone of 2015, the X Force – featuring the world’s first shatterproof display.
Hard as nails
The 5.4-inch Quad HD display is guaranteed not to crack or splinter, which will be perfect for those who’ve been known to abuse their poor old smartphone from time to time. There’s also a 21MP camera, which just like the rest of the Moto range, can be launched with a quick flick of the wrist.
Round the front there’s a secondary lens for all your selfie needs. The wide-angle 5MP camera is accompanied by a flash too, so even if the selfie craving comes a calling, you’ll get a decent shot no matter what the lighting conditions are like.
The rear cover also contributes to the smartphone’s hardiness, being made of a material called durable ballistic nylon – not too dissimilar to Kevlar. Although it looks like it’ll be rough to the touch, it’s actually quite smooth but you can tell it’s a tough material.
The beating heart of the machine
Under the hood there’s 3GB RAM and a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, making it the most powerful handset Motorola has ever produced.
With such surging power, the phone is very reactive and quick to respond to everything you chuck at it. Multitasking has never been easier, and when the new Android Marshmallow software lands, things will only get better.
Talking of speed, the new 25W plug and TurboPower™ technology mean you’ll spend less time plugged into the wall than ever before. The 3,760mAh battery will absorb 10 hours of power from a mere 15-minute charge, so even if you’re dashing out of the house, you’ll never be without your phone.
