LG says it’s teamed up with Bang & Olufsen’s B&O PLAY to give the upcoming LG G5 unrivalled sound quality.
The LG G5, which will be unveiled this Sunday in Barcelona, will take advantage of Bang & Olufsen’s 90 years of audio and design experience to deliver high quality sound through headphones and the phone itself.
Henrik Taudorf Lorensen, President of B&O PLAY said: “B&O PLAY appeals to music lovers who want the best available products on the market. They are uncompromisingly innovative, without boundaries and constantly on the go and they expect the same from the headphones as well as the mobile devices they choose, so this is a perfect match.”
While the partnership with B&O PLAY is sure to give the LG G5 a boost in its music game, this isn’t the first LG phone to get state-of-the-art audio tech. LG was the first smartphone maker to add hi-res audio to its phones.
We already know a bit about the LG G5, thanks to some early teasers from the South Korean company. We know that it will have an always-on display to make checking notifications easier. And we’ve also been told there will be an innovative touch-enabled case that’ll let you use key features without sacrificing protection.
We’ll be reporting live from the LG G5 launch event in Barcelona, so come back this Sunday, 21 February, at 1pm GMT (2pm CET) to get all the details about the new smartphone.
