THE NEXT SMARTPHONE FROM BLACKBERRY
There seems to be an endless amount of new smartphones seeing the light of day at Mobile World Congress this year – the newest of which being from BlackBerry.
The BlackBerry Leap features a 5-inch HD display, BB’s latest operating system, a 2,800mAh battery (said to last up to 25 hours with heavy use), and it’s 4G. There’s also no QWERTY keyboard, which is a little unusual given BlackBerry has become known for this feature.
There has been a big focus on security with the Leap, which seems to becoming a bit of a trend, having seen the Blackphone 2 earlier this week.
FOR THE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
Ron Louks, president of Devices and Emerging Solutions said: “BlackBerry Leap was built specifically for mobile professionals who see their smartphone device as a powerful and durable productivity tool that also safeguards sensitive communications at all times.”
It’s unsurprising that the Canadian company and its partners have decided to angle the new smartphone towards the young professionals of the world – those who enjoy the organised nature of its design. To complement this, the Leap also includes BB’s personal assistant to make sure you never miss that deadline or meeting.
MORE APPS THAN EVER
In case you missed the news, BlackBerry World is now connected to the Amazon Appstore, which provides access to loads of amazing games, social networks and shopping facilities than ever before.
We’ll be spending a bit of time with the Leap in the near future, so stay tuned for updates.
