IMPRESSIVE SPECS, EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE PRICE
Just days before Mobile World Congress, one of the biggest dates on the mobile calendar, Motorola has decided to unveil its new smartphone, the Moto E.
Motorola is very good at bringing qualities you would expect from top-end phones to more affordable handsets, and the story remains the same with the new E.
The new Moto E follows the pretty standard Motorola design, with a matt curved rear and the finger dimple just below the rear camera.
Feature-wise we’re looking at a 4.5-inch qHD display, 5MP camera, 2,390mAh battery, Android Lollipop, and if that’s not enough, it’s 4G. That might not seem like a big deal until you’re made aware it will cost just £12.50 per month. Awesome, right?
In comparison to its predecessor, we’ve seen the addition of a front-facing camera, and the inclusion of some of the popular features from the Moto X, like Quick Launch. This means that if you need to capture a picture quickly, flick your wrist twice and the phone will launch the camera.
There’s also Moto Display, which simplifies your notification centre. This allows you to keep on top of what’s happening, without having to wake your phone. Just tap and hold to read messages discreetly, all the while conserving battery life.
Users will be able to choose from either black or white models, with a choice of interchangeable Motorola Bands (golden yellow, turquoise, raspberry, purple, red) and Grip Shells (golden yellow, charcoal, turquoise, blue and raspberry) for the personalised touch.
