Follow these steps and you'll be able to use data browse the internet on your phone in no time.

If you're trying to access mobile internet or send multimedia messages on the iD Mobile network, this guide to APN settings will help you get your phone connected so you can browse the web, use email, and send MMS messages.

Android APN settings for iD Mobile

Here's how to manually add the iD mobile internet settings on an Android phone.

  1. Open Settings from the Home screen.
  2. Tap Wireless and networks or More (this'll depend on your Android version).
  3. Tap Mobile networks > Access point names.
  4. Tap the Menu button (this could be the lower left soft key, 3 dots in the top right corner, or the word 'more').
  5. Tap New APN.
  6. Type the following:
  • Name - iD
  • APN - id
  • MMSC -http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc
  • MMS Proxy -mms.idmobile.co.uk
  • MMS port -8799
  • APN Type - You'll need to choose from a list or type something in. If you're given the list, choose internet+mms. If you're asked to type something, type in a *
  1. Tap Menu > Save.
  2. Pick the name we've just created.
  3. Next to your signal bars, you'll now see 4G, 3G, H, E or G. This shows you're now connected.

iPhone APN settings for iD Mobile

If your iPhone isn't downloading the iD Mobile network settings automatically, here's how to add them manually.

  1. Tap Settings > Mobile/Cellular Data.
  2. Tap Mobile/Cellular Data Options.
  3. Tap Mobile/Cellular Data Network.
  4. Type this in:

Mobile or Cellular Data settings

  • APN - id

MMS settings

  • APN - id
  • MMSC - http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc
  • MMS Proxy - mms.idmobile.co.uk:8799
  • MMS Max Message Size - 307200

  1. Press the left arrow at the top of the screen 3 times.
  2. Press the Home button.
  3. To make sure these settings have worked, look next to your signal bars. 4G, 3G, E or GPRS shows you're now connected.

BlackBerry APN settings for iD Mobile

Here are the iD APN settings to manually connect your BlackBerry 10 phone to mobile data.

Internet APN

  1. Swipe downwards from the top of the screen to get you to the notification panel.
  2. Tap Settings > Network connections > Mobile network.
  3. Tap APN > Mobile plan and choose Contract or Prepay (whichever you use).
  4. Fill these boxes in:
  5. Access Point Name: id
  6. Tap Save (in the top right corner).
  7. You should now see 4G, 3G, H, E or G at the top of the screen. This shows you're connected.

MMS APN

  1. From the Home screen, swipe across to the BlackBerry Hub
  2. Tap Menu (3 dots) > Settings.
  3. Tap Text messages, then tap Advanced.
  4. Type in these settings:
  5. APN - id
  6. MMSC URL - http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc
  7. Proxy URL - mms.idmobile.co.uk:8799
  8. Tap Save at the bottom.

Windows phone APN settings for iD Mobile

Your Windows phone should connect to the web automatically, but if you're having problems, follow these steps to manually add the APN settings. The settings are different depending on the version of Windows you're using.

Windows 10 Mobile

  1. Swipe the screen from right to left. This'll open your apps list.
  2. Tap settings > wireless and networks > mobile + SIM.
  3. Tap SIM settings > + add an internet APN.
  4. Type the following:
  5. Profile name: iD Internet
  6. APN: id
  7. Tick the box next to Use this APN for LTE then tap save.
  8. You'll now see 4G, 3G, H, E or G at the top of the screen. This shows that you've connected successfully.
  9. Tap + Add MMS APN.
  10. Type these settings:
  11. Profile name - iD MMS
  12. APN - id
  13. Proxy server - mms.idmobile.co.uk
  14. Proxy port - 8799
  15. MMSC (URL) - http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc
  16. Maximum MMS size - 307200
  17. Scroll to the bottom and tap Save.

Windows Phone 8.1

  1. Swipe the screen from right to left to open your apps list.
  2. Tap settings > mobile + SIM or cellular + SIM.
  3. Check that the data connection is on, then tap SIM settings.
  4. The internet APN and MMS APN settings are separate. Tap edit internet apn.
  5. Type this in:
  6. APN: id
  7. Tap Save. You'll know it's worked if you see 4G, 3G, H, E or G at the top of the screen.
  8. Tap edit MMS APN.
  9. Type these settings:
  10. APN - id
  11. WAP gateway (URL) - mms.idmobile.co.uk
  12. WAP gateway port - 8799
  13. MMSC (URL) - http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc
  14. Tap Save at the bottom.

Windows Phone 8

  1. To open your apps list, swipe the Home screen from right to left.
  2. Tap settings > mobile network and turn on the data connection.
  3. Tap the back button to go back to your apps list.
  4. Tap settings > access point.
  5. Tap the name of your network provider if you see it, otherwise Tap add.
  6. Fill in these boxes:
  7. Connection name - iD Mobile

Internet APN

  • Access point name: id

MMS APN

  • Access point name - id
  • Proxy address - mms.idmobile.co.uk
  • Proxy port - 8799
  • MMSC address - http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc

  1. Tap the tick at the bottom to save, and you should see 3G, H, E or G at the top of the screen, which shows it's worked.

Windows phone 7/7.5/7.8

  1. In order to access the apps list, you'll need to swipe the Home screen from left to right.
  2. Tap settings > mobile network > add APN.
  3. Enter the following details:

Internet APN settings

  • APN: id

MMS APN settings

  • MMS Access Point Name - id
  • Proxy address - mms.idmobile.co.uk
  • Proxy port - 8799
  • MMSC address -http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc

  1. Tap the tick or disk icon to save the information.
  2. Confirm the APN settings.
  3. Check your signal bars for a connection. You will see 3G, H, E or G.

Nokia feature phone APN settings for iD Mobile

If your Nokia feature phone isn't automatically connecting to the internet, you'll need to enter the iD Mobile APN settings manually. Here's how.

Internet APN

  1. Tap Menu > Configuration > Personal settings.
  2. Tap Options > Add new > Web.
  3. Tap Account name, type iD Web, and tap OK.
  4. Tap Homepage, type http://m.google.com, and tap OK.
  5. Tap Use pref. access pt. and tap No.
  6. Tap Acc. point sett > Bearer settings.
  7. Tap Pack. data acc.pt. and type id, then tap OK.
  8. Press the back button three times.
  9. Press and hold the network name, id Web and choose Activate.
  10. Press the back button again.
  11. Tap Default config. sett. then Tap Personal config.
  12. Tap default then press the back button twice to go back to the Home screen.
  13. You should see 3G, H, E or G, next to your signal bars, which means that you're connected.

MMS APN

  1. Tap Menu > Configuration > Personal settings.
  2. Tap Options > Add new > Multimedia msg.
  3. Tap Account name, type id MMS and tap OK.
  4. Tap Server address, type http://mms.um.idmobile.co.uk:10021/mmsc and tap OK.
  5. Tap Use pref. acc. pt. and tap No.
  6. Tap Acc point sett. > Proxy > Enable.
  7. Tap Proxy address, type mms.idmobile.co.uk and tap OK.
  8. Tap Proxy port, type 8799 and tap OK.
  9. Tap Bearer settings.
  10. Tap Pack. data acc. pt., type id and tap OK.
  11. Tap Back three times.
  12. Press and hold your finger on the iD MMS name and tap Activate.
  13. Tap Back > Def. config. sett. > Personal config.
  14. Tap Default, then tap Back twice to get to the Home screen.
