Have you got yourself a new Android Wear smartwatch? Or maybe you’re thinking about getting one. Well, we’ve taken the LG G Watch R and a Nexus 6 to show you how easy it is to get started with your new wearable.
Whichever Android Wear smartwatch you’ve got, the first thing you need to do is turn it on by long pressing the only button on it. It’ll vibrate to let you know it’s switching on.
While that’s booting, grab your phone, head to the Google Play Store and download the Android Wear app.
Now that the app’s downloading, go back to the watch. You’ll be faced with a screen asking you to select your language, so just scroll through and tap the one you want.
Your watch now tells you to install Android Wear, which should have finished installing on your phone. So switch the phone’s Bluetooth on and open up the Android Wear app. It should quickly find your smartwatch, so all you need to do is tap on its name.
After a second or two, you’ll need to press ‘Pair’ on the phone’s screen and the big tick on the watch to tell them both that it’s ok for them to connect.
After a few seconds you’ll be set up and ready to go. And now the watch gives you a quick guide on how to control it that’s well worth reading.
