Plan the perfect Valentine's Day on your phone

Whether you’re a lover or a hater, Valentine’s Day is nearly here. Shops have been plastered with red love hearts since the Christmas decorations came down. And now app stores are full of pink and fluffy games.

But did you know that your phone’s the ideal tool for helping you plot the perfect romantic day? Here’s our guide to planning Valentine’s Day on your mobile.

Funky Pigeon personalised cards

Free on Android and iOS

The first thing you’ll need on 14 February is the perfect card. It’s really easy to design your own cards on your phone and have them professionally printed thanks to the Funky Pigeon app. They even deliver by first class post, so you can get away with a last minute dash.

Bloom & Wild flowers

Free on Android and iOS

Once you’ve got the card you’ll need a bunch of flowers. Bloom & Wild has a great app, an amazing array of bouquets and can even do free next day delivery. So even if you forget to order a present, you can still pull off a romantic surprise.

Last minute presents - Argos

Free on Android and iOS

If you want something a little more original than a dozen roses then the Argos app is great. It might not be the first place you think of for Valentine’s presents, but the huge range of things that they sell means you’ll probably find something to suit your loved one. And rather handily, Argos does same day delivery from selected stores.

Opentable for a romantic dinner

Free on Android and iOS

Fancy a romantic dinner? Opentable is the perfect app for finding and booking a restaurant. You can search for tables by location, cuisine, price and special offers. And booking’s effortless. You’re bound to find a spare table somewhere for the 14th, even if you’ve left it to the very last minute.

Whatever you’re doing for Valentine’s Day, we hope you have a good one. If you’ve got any hints for creating the perfect romantic day, leave them in the comments below.
