SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 4 REVIEW
THE ORIGINAL PHABLET IS STILL THE BEST PHABLET
Samsung kicked off the phablet craze with the original Galaxy Note and has never looked back. With an updated screen, new S Pen stylus and stylish new look, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of our favourite phones ever for entertainment and getting work done on the go.
THE BEST BITS
- Unique S Pen makes it easier to use the phone
- New metal frame gives a solid feeling of quality
- Photos are phenomenal thanks to the new camera
- The screen is rated as the best in the world
- A revolutionary fast-charging, long-life battery
Whether you want a phone to keep you entertained with games and movies, or a phablet to help you get work done while you’re on the move, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is great.
A NEW AND IMPROVED S PEN
The S Pen stylus has been updated for the Note 4, making it feel more like a real pen being used on paper. That makes it much easier to write notes and do drawings. And the Air Command menu has been made simpler so it’s easier to use it amazing features, like Action Memo. This lets you jot down a number, email address or other information and use it instantly thanks to handwriting recognition.
A WORLD CLASS CAMERA
Samsung has managed to create a new type of camera that gives brighter photos with better colours. And the version in the Galaxy Note 4 also makes everything look super sharp thanks to its 16MP resolution and optical image stabilisation (OIS). OIS keeps the camera steady, even if you’re moving, and the high resolution picks up every detail.
THE WORLD’S BEST MOBILE SCREEN
DisplayMate, a company that tests screens, has rated the one on the Galaxy Note 4 as the best on any phone ever. It gives a beautifully clear picture thanks to its Quad HD resolution, colours look really close to real life and it’s brilliantly bright. All of that gives the added bonus that you can easily see what’s on the screen in bright light, making the Note 4 easier to use while you’re out and about.
AN INCREDIBLE BATTERY
Battery life on the Note 4 isn’t really a problem as the battery’s so big and you get Samsung’s Ultra Power Saving Mode to make a 10% charge last 24 hours. But when you do run out of power, the Note 4 has another trick up its sleeve. It’ll charge to 50% in just 30 minutes, giving you enough power to get through the day.
Despite giving the Note 4 a stylish metal frame that feels really nice, Samsung has stuck with its controversial faux-leather back cover. That, coupled with bezels around the screen that look a little big by today’s standards, could put you off the looks of this phone.
We’ve fallen in love with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. All its extra features from things like the S Pen and S Health have kept us fascinated by the phone. And we like the new design, despite its unusual back cover. It’s a powerful phone that’ll let you push the boundaries of what you do on a mobile.
