If you’ve got yourself a new Android Wear smartwatch in the pre-Christmas sales, you’ll want to start downloading some apps to it so you can make the most of what it can do.
We’ve got hold of the new LG G Watch R to show you how to download apps to your smartwatch and which ones you should get first.
Evernote for Android Wear lets you view notes on your watch, which is great for shopping lists. And you can dictate notes to your watch that are saved in Evernote so you can access them on any device.
We also really like If That Then This. It lets you tell your watch to automatically do things when certain triggers happen, so it could send a text message when you leave work for example. It’s been popular on phones, but we think it’s more useful on the watch.
If you got a smartwatch for its fitness benefits, download Runtastic Running and Fitness. It lets you see how many calories you’ve burned, your steps, your total distance, issue voice commands, and plenty of other stuff all on your watch.
Finally, you should get yourself Wear Mini Launcher. It makes it much easier to find and use all the new apps you’ve downloaded onto your smartwatch.
Not even got your smartwatch out of the box yet and don’t know where to start? Then watch our simple setup guide to get up and running.
