HTC One M9 vs HTC One

Two years ago, HTC wowed the world with the beautiful One.And now we’ve got a new gorgeous HTC smartphone, the HTC One M9.

If you’re upgrading from the original One to the One M9, you’ve got a lot to look forward to. Check out the new design. It has a smooth metal body, and is a bit squarer than the original One. And it’s also got new mirrored edges for a modern look.

You won’t notice a lot ofdifference between these two phones when looking at them face on. That’s because they both have stereo speakers and a Full HD screen. Look closer though, because the screen on the One M9 is much better quality and slightly bigger. The speakers are also much louder and clearer.

One thing that we definitely prefer on the new phone is the camera. The old One used HTC’s UltraPixel technology, where each pixel on the camera’s sensor is three times bigger than normal to let in more light. But the extra brightness and colours didn’t reallymake up for the drop in resolution that you got from only havinga third the number of pixels. That’s why it’s good news that HTC has given the M9 a regular 20MP camera on the back.Your pictures will definitely look better.

But HTC hasn’t ditched UltraPixels altogether on the One M9. The front camera now uses them, and this works really well, because you don’t need such high resolution for a selfie.

In terms of power, the original One is starting to show its age. Switching to the One M9 is going to feel super powerful, with far more power packed inside than you really need day to day. But it feels good to know that the phone will be able to run any game, no matter how big and beautiful.

Despite all that extra power, the One M9 has a longer battery life than the older One. Its battery is much bigger and everything about the phone has been made more energy efficient so now you don’t have to charge the phone up so often.
