Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition launches

A full Final Fantasy epic you can play anywhere

If you love gaming, chances are you’ll have played at least one Final Fantasy title. Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is a faithful reproduction of the PS4, Xbox, and PC versions of the game, shrunk down so you can play it on your Android or iOS smartphone.

A pocket-sized adventure

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition isn’t a stripped-down version of the original game. It’s the same offering, with all the main characters and story of the console and PC versions.

You’ll take control of Prince Noctis (among others) after he’s heard that his homeland has been invaded. In the game you’ll take on a series of challenges in a beautiful open world game filled with towering enemies, and larger-than-life creatures.

A cute new art style just for mobile

The biggest change is the cute new art style – which developer Square Enix says will appeal to mobile gamers, and existing fans of the series.

Touch controls so anyone can play

Another change is the addition of touchscreen controls. With touch controls, anyone can play on smartphone or tablet. Just imagine being able to play Final Fantasy XV on the train to work, and on the way back home. Well, now you can.

The first chapter is free

There are ten episodes in total providing hours upon hours of gameplay. All ten episodes are available at launch for fans who want to take the Final Fantasy experience on the road. Don’t worry if you’re still on the fence. The first episode is free-of-charge, so you can try it to see if you like it or not.

Where can I get it?

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is available to play on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. Head over to the game page on the App Store or on Google Play to download it.
