Samsung teases Galaxy smartphone at MWC

Barcelona – Samsung has lifted the curtain on its much-anticipated Tab S3 at Mobile World Congress, adding to the Galaxy tablet range.

The new tablet features a 9.7-inch display with HDR, delivering more detail than ever before. There’s also been an upgrade to the camera since the Tab S2, with the flagship now boasting a 13MP sensor with autofocus technology.

Some of the other big features included a new blue light filer – which is designed to take the strain off your eyes when looking at your screen in the evening – and four finely tuned speakers by AKG.

The tablet will also come bundled with a new and improved S Pen, modelled after the iconic Noris pencil by Staedtler.

Galaxy Book

Samsung also gave us a peek at a 2-in-1, tablet-cum-laptop hybrid, called the Galaxy Book. The Windows-powered device has a Full HD+ display measuring 12-inches from corner to corner. And, at just 7.4mm it’s the thinnest tablet in its class.

It also features an impressive 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory.

Future-proof

During the announcement, Samsung lightly touched on how much the company is keen to drive home it's passion for connecting all our devices through the internet of things.

5G - the next generation of super-fast mobile connectivity - is "the next revolution", according to Samsung’s COO. It'll only be a matter of time before the UK is set up for 5G, and when it is, Samsung's devices will be ready
