It’s April Fools’ Day, which means the near bottomless budgets of the world’s biggest tech companies have been put to use creating pranks. So here’s our pick of the best April Fools’ Day jokes.

Google Cardboard Plastic

What could be more real than reality? Google’s new Cardboard Plastic is the first headset designed for actual reality. With 20/20 resolution, 360⁰ audio and a waterproof design it certainly sounds impressive.


What could make every YouTube video better? Snoop Dogg, of course. With SnoopaVision, every YouTube video is turned into a 360⁰ experience, and you’ll even have Snoop himself sat alongside you.

Duolingo Pillow

“Don’t count sheep, master a new language.” That’s the tagline for language app Duolingo’s new product, the Pillow. By using a cerebral cortex cushion, linguistic reinforcement vibration and auditory cortex transmitters, Duolingo guarantees language fluency by sunrise.

Research has shown 96% of those under 30 have a preference for emoji plates over traditional license plate and 97% admit they now use emojis as their main method of expressing an emotion or idea.
