Hot new releases from IFA 2015

All the best bits

Today at IFA all the traders are on the floor, offering us the chance to get to know some of the latest and greatest tech a little bit better.

Huawei

Following our visit to Samsung this morning, we headed to Huawei's stand to get a look at the Huawei Watch.

This is a beautifully designed smartwatch with a classic timepiece look. The crown is at the two o'clock position, and Android Wear is doing a superb job of powering the device.

We also got a chance to check out the new Mate S which was announced a few days ago. The new flagship is spearheading the Force Touch movement, which - as we've said before - is set to revolutionise the smartphone experience.

A harder press on the screen gives you different options, in this instance, the level of zoom, but could be a real game-changer for mobile gamers.

Sony & HTC

Over at Sony we had a quick look at Project Morpheus, the Japanese company's answer to virtual reality. And in the same bound we saw HTC's version - Vive.

Virtual reality could quickly revolutionise the gaming industry, offering more immersion and in depth play. There's no word currently about when Morpheus will be on the market, but we can expect Vive to fill the shelves in the first quarter of 2016 alongside Oculus Rift's consumer headset.

Motorola

Finally we visited Motorola, now owned by Lenovo, showcasing the new version of the Moto 360 smartwatch.

The aptly named Moto 360 2 comes in two sizes, retaining a lot of the same looks it's predecessor did. It too has seen a shift in the crown to the same position we saw on Huawei's offering. Could this be the new smartwatch fashion?
