Hello, Moto Moto Moto
Motorola has unveiled a trinity of new smartphones in London, namely the Moto X Play, Moto X Style and a third generation of the Moto G. So, without further ado, here’s the scoop.
Moto G (3rd gen)
The new Moto G, just like predecessor, is 4G ready, and features the likes of a 5-inch HD display, 13MP camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 2,470mAh battery and 8GB of storage with the option to add a 32GB microSD card.
It’s also water-resistant, certified as IPX7, meaning it can be submerged in three feet of water for up to 30 minutes. For a bit of a closer look, check out our exclusive unboxing video above.
Moto X Play
Now that the G has suffiencetly whet your appetite, get a load of the Moto X Play. The new handset has a sizeable 5.5-inch Full HD display, 21MP camera, 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 128GB microSD card capability and a giant 3,630mAh battery with turbo-charging.
Motorola, now owned by Lenovo following the changing of hands with Google last year, is going from strength to strength, but the the best is yet to come...
Moto X Style
Finally we have the Moto X Style, which really is the icing on the cake. The big daddy of the trio boasts a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, 21MP camera with 4K video capability, 5MP front-facing camera (with flash), 3GB RAM, 1.8GHz hexa-core processor and a 3,000mAh battery with turbo-charging. A whole lot of awesome.
All three handsets come boxed with the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 OS update, which brings with it a refreshed Motorola start-up animation (as you can see in our header image), bug fixes, and a few minor aesthetic changes. They're all also guaranteed an upgrade to Android M when it's released.
