Bin your other half easily with Binder

Bin your other half easily with Binder

Are you a sorry excuse for a human being? Do you have a significant other who you don’t think is so significant anymore? If you answered yes to both of those questions, Tennent’s Lager has launched an app for you.

Binder (it rhymes with Tinder) is a tongue-in-cheek app that makes dumping people easy. Well, easy for you, absolutely horrific for them.

All you have to do is enter your partner’s name and phone number and then swipe right to bin them. Binder then sends your other half a voicemail letting them know they’ve been dumped, and to make sure they get the message loud and clear, it’ll send a text too.

Binder is, of course, meant as a joke. It’s part of a series of comedy sketches created by Tennent’s Lager and a collective of writers, directors and animators. But if you’re the sort who thinks dumping people by SMS is a bit too personal, Binder will be right up your alley.

Check out the Binder ad to see just how it can make your life easier:

Jordan McKenna, of Tennent's Lager, said: "There are hundreds of sites that promise to make the dating game easy. They look after everything - except the splitting up part.

“We thought we'd poke some fun at that in our Wellpark series and so far it's gone down really well with those who've helped test it out. Hopefully those who receive a Binder message will have a sense-of-humour about it too."

While the advert above includes a teaser for Bindim, a version of Binder for women, the current app does have options for dumping both boyfriends and girlfriends so everyone can get on this horrifying bandwagon.

Binder is free to download on iOS and Android.
