Top foodie apps
Eat What You Want Day champions your hunger cravings, and permits a day away from the dull and listless life of a healthy garden salad. So, what are you waiting for? Check out our go-to apps when we want to pig out.
For those who haven’t heard of, or ever been to Five Guys, you’re missing out. Seriously - it’s the place of dreams. Five Guys’ handcrafted burgers proudly lord their superiority over other, more popular, high street names, and we’re in full support. Just like this overwhelmed ambassador.
The problem is - word’s getting out. So much so that Five Guys’ burger joints are generally brimming with hungry customers. That’s where the app comes in. Order online, skip the queue, and thank us later.
If it’s not burgers you’re after, and you’re looking for something with a bit more of a kick, the South Africans are here to help.
Renowned for its chicken dishes and pun-filled advertising, Nando’s is one of the most popular casual dining restaurants in the UK. And, thankfully there’s an app available to fulfil your peri peri wishes even if your neighbourhood Nando’s is fully booked. Check it out here, and in the meantime, here’s a man ordering everything on the menu really quickly.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen
Right, enough clucking over chicken (not even sorry) - let’s get back to burgers. GBK does pretty much what it says on the tin – gourmet burgers – fresh and made to order. The only difference with this app, is that you can’t order your food through it. Rather, you collect points and you get rewarded based on how often you visit GBK.
If you live in London however, you should check out Deliveroo (we hear an app is coming soon), who will pick up your order from a long list of restaurants, and bring it to your door for a small fee.
And, if you’re after a bit of everything…
Of course, if you’re having trouble deciding where to get your foodie fix from, you can check out Hungry House, or Just Eat. Both provide a long list of different cuisines in your local area, all delivered directly to you.
