Slow motion recording about to get much better on mobiles

Smartphones will soon be able to record 1080p Full HD slow motion video at 480 frames per second (fps). iPhone 5s can only record 720p videos at 120fps.

This astonishing effect will be possible thanks to a new processor that’s just been launched by MediaTek. The chip will also support much better screens than we currently have so watching those super slow motion videos will look amazing.

On the technical side of things, the processor is a 2.2GHz octa core chip, so it’ll be fantastically quick when running apps and games. And it supports 64-bit operating systems, like Android L, which will give it another boost in performance and efficiency.
