If you’ve switched from iPhone to something else, or you have an iPad but an Android or Windows Phone smartphone, you might have noticed you don’t always get your text messages.
The problem is that if someone sends you a text from their iPhone, Apple often automatically sends that text as an iMessage as it sees your phone number in its database (because of your old iPhone or your iPad).
But now Apple has released a handy tool that’ll remove your details from iMessage, so when someone tries to send you a message, it’ll send as a text.
All you need to do is enter your mobile number on the website and Apple will send you a confirmation code that you tap in online.
You can deregister iMessage over at Apple’s website here.
