Beats by Dre offer a premium collection of earbuds and headphones, all guaranteeing the top quality sound your favourite artist intended. And to make sure you’re getting the most from your next smartphone, we’re giving away a pair with select new connections.

Build

The on-ear design means the comfortable cushioned cups sit on top of your ears, instead of in them or around them. They’re not heavy or restrictive, and feel quite snug supported by the flexible rubber headband.

As you’d expect, the headphones are completely adjustable, but they don’t fold away like the Solo 2s. They are, however, completely silent when choosing your size. The cuffs can be slid up and down just like any other headset, but there’s no clicking noise as you might expect with cheaper models. A minor feature, but a good one at that.

Sound

There’s a definite emphasis on bass with the EPs, but that’s not to say the top end crashes out or sounds tinny. The bass even sounds good at lower volumes, so you don’t need to blast the volume to enjoy whatever you’re listening to.

The flat cable in non-removable, running into the right cuff. It features an in-line mic for making and taking calls, and gives you quick access to all your audio controls. And as it’s wide and flat, it won’t get tangled up very easily, and can be stored away in a flash.

Verdict

Beats upholds its sterling reputation with the EPs, offering high quality sound at a reasonable price. Get your very own pair of Beats EP headphones today by ordering a smartphone from our great range, online or in store.
