Windows 10 launch event - London
Last week saw hoards of Microsoft enthusiasts descend upon the banks of the Thames to celebrate the launch of Windows 10 - so we tagged along too.
Windows 10 is by far the most advanced, user-friendly operating system to ever come from Microsoft, but we wanted to find out more about what it means for Windows Phone.
To do so, we spoke to some of the event’s guests and found out what they loved about Windows Phone, and what they’re looking forward to with the much anticipated Windows 10 update on their mobiles.
Windows 10 for mobile is expected sometime towards October or November, but Microsoft is keeping its cards pretty close to its chest on any further details.
From what we’ve seen so far on the desktop version, there’s a lot to be excited about, and it will completely revolutionise how we use our Windows-powered devices, including tablets and Xbox.
Windows 10 is focused on bringing tech together, allowing different devices to work in tandem. For example, the update allows users to play Xbox from anywhere, even if the telly is in use. This works by streaming the game over Wi-Fi to another device, which is perfect if your home has seen fallouts over who gets to use the TV.
Are you excited about Windows 10 coming to mobile soon? If so, tell us about it below.
