Sony kicked off its IFA tech show by announcing two brilliant new wearables, the Sony SmartWatch 3 and Sony SmartBand Talk.
The SmartWatch 3 is Sony’s first wearable to use the Android Wear software, a version of Android that’s designed specifically for smartwatches. That means it syncs easily with any Android smartphone, bringing all of your notifications to your wrist.
Android Wear also brings voice controls to the Sony SmartWatch 3, so you can just say ‘OK, Google’ and then tell it to search the internet, set reminders and loads more.
The SmartBand Talk is all about fitness and life-logging. It can measure how many steps you take each day as well as your heart rate. And it stores that information in Sony’s LifeLog app along with details like where you went, what photos you took and even what music you listened to.
All of that gives you a simple, beautiful digital diary that helps you keep fit and makes it easy to look back on fun days out and exciting events.
We’ll have a video of these great new wearables live soon so keep checking back for more on what Sony’s been showing off at IFA.
Sony also announced two new phones that we’ve already reviewed, the Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
