How often do you look up directions on Google Maps while sat at your computer, just to search for the exact same thing on your phone when you start your journey? It’s a small hassle, but one that Google doesn’t think you should suffer.
Now, when you search for a place on the Google Maps website, you’ll see a ‘Send to device’ button in the location’s information card.
Click this button and you’ll get a list of devices that you can send your search to. It should be a list of Android phones and tablets that you’ve signed into with your Google account and that have the latest Google Maps update.

After sending the location to your phone or tablet, it’ll get a notification. From that notification, you can tap the address to see the location on a map or go straight into navigation or directions.

It’s a common-sense addition to the Google Maps features and one that will help make our lives feel a little easier and more connected.
