Samsung's new wearable range at IFA 17

Smart tech from Samsung at IFA

Samsung is the first manufacturer to announce new tech at Europe’s largest consumer tech show, IFA. The Berlin conference is held annually and gives the world’s biggest names in tech a stage to showcase the thing you’ll want on this year’s Christmas list.

Samsung Gear Sport

The new smartwatch is swim-ready, boasts a 1.2-inch circular touchscreen, and has Samsung’s iconic rotating bezel. The twisty edge has been a feature of the Samsung wearable range for a few years now, and makes scrolling through menus and apps a breeze.

Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro band

The Gear Fit 2 Pro is Samsung’s flagship fitness tracker. In terms of design, it’s not a million miles away from last year’s model, but it’s now protected against water at a depth of 50 meters.

Through a deal with music-streaming giant, Spotify, you can download and save songs directly to the band, meaning you can enjoy music on the go while leaving your smartphone safely at home. And to listen to said music, you’ll want to check out the brand new wireless audio offering…

Samsung Gear IconX 2018 earphones

These miniature earbuds are lightweight and sit snuggly in your ears without the need for any leads or cables. With a quick tap, you can summon Samsung’s virtual assistant, Bixby, which has just arrived in the UK, lining up with the Galaxy Note 8 announcement.

Bixby will be really useful for hands-free stuff, like if you want to skip a song while out on a jog, or what to know more information about that awesome looking restaurant you’ve just passed.

We’ll be back with more live news from the halls of IFA’s Messe Berlin over the course of the next few days, looking at announcements from the likes of LG, Sony, Philips, and much more. And if you’ve got any questions, drop us a comment below.
