Meet the HTC 10

HTC’s rival to the Galaxy S7 has arrived…

The brand new HTC 10 is hot off the press, packing a state-of-the-art camera, all-new speakers and slick design. Here’s what it can do…

A quick look

Fronting the HTC 10 is a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen that wraps right up to both edges. The improved resolution and larger size (the One M9 had a 5.0-inch Full HD screen) is a nice boost.

There’s also a new shape to the body, which feels really comfortable in the hand. It’s still curved on the back, but the edges are a lot flatter, sharper and cleaner than on the he M9.

Round the back there’s the new 12MP HTC UltraPixel™ 2 camera (a bit of a mouthful, we know), with laser autofocus and optical image stabilisation. In layman’s terms, the camera takes in more light, focuses instantly and cuts out motion blur for brighter and better photos than ever before. The new camera is a step up for HTC, and the quality has really impressed us.

Under the hood

Inside there’s a 2.2GHz quad-core processor in charge of keeping everything running smoothly, accompanied by 4GB RAM. That means you can have all your favourite apps open at once and not worry about anything slowing down.

But, visually it’s all down to the software. HTC’s sense feels more like its working with the Android Marshmallow operating system, instead of trying to run over it. This has created a more streamlined experience that feels much nicer to use and easier to navigate.

Big sound

HTC has always pushed hard for high quality sound. And the HTC 10 is no different. With BoomSound Hi-Fi Edition speakers, you’ll be able to enjoy hi-res audio like never before. But that’s not all, with the addition of three noise-cancellation mics, you can also record hi-res audio.
