Reimagining the camera phone with Ektra…

Kodak is one of the most renowned camera companies in the world. Following its 128-year camera legacy, the American firm is now set to rock the mobile space with its smartphone, Kodak Ektra.

Top line specs

Unsurprisingly, the Kodak Ektra has a great camera. At 21MP and with a large f/2.0 aperture, the lens is well suited to deliver standout photography. It also has optical image stabilisation to support smooth 4K video, and swift autofocus to make sure you always get your shots in focus.

In terms of design, it feels and looks like a camera from the back. The large camera bump provides a retro 1940s aesthetic, and when teamed up with the official leather case, it genuinely could be a camera in its own right. There’s also a dedicated shutter button, emblazoned with the iconic Kodak symbol on the top right of the device.

Round the front, however, it’s all smartphone. There’s 5-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass, a 13MP front-facing lens, and Android’s touch navigation keys.

On the inside

Under the hood there’s a deca-core processor (yep – ten cores), alongside 3GB RAM. It’s one of the first smartphones to boast such a large amount of core processors, which are split into two quad-cores (2.0GHz and 1.4GHz), and a dual-core platform at 2.3GHz.

With the Android Marshmallow operating system working alongside all that tech, you’ll have no problem multi-tasking and taking advantage of the high-powered Kodak video and photography apps.

There’s also a beefy 3,000mAh battery cell to make sure you’ve got enough power to keep going all day.

If you like the sound of the Kodak Ektra, you can order your very own right now by following the link.
