It's your 'Year In Music' with Spotify

Spotify has just announced its 2015 ‘Year in Music’ feature, which gives you a personalised snapshot of the music you've been listening to all year.

If you’ve been making the most of Spotify over the past 12 months, you’ll have probably racked up quite a few listens of your favourite tunes. And now, you’ve got the chance to find out exactly who and what made it to the top of your very own hit parade.

To get your personalised Year In Music card, visit www.spotify.com/2015 and log in. Then select ‘Get Your Year In Music’, and you’ll be able to see all your deepest, darkest listening habits of 2015, including:

  • The first song you played.
  • Your top songs, artists and genres.
  • Your top artists by season.
  • The total number of artists and tracks you listened to.

You can then share the results on social media. Unfortunately, perhaps, there’s no option to delete any embarrassing selections that make it onto your list. But that’s fine – we’ve all got a few guilty pleasures we enjoy listening to.

And that’s not all. There’s another feature called ‘Play it Forward’ that gives you a playlist of tracks to take you into the New Year. This’ll be based on the stuff you’ve been listening to in 2015, so it should be worth checking out.

To give it a spin, go to the bottom of your ‘Year in Music’ menu page, select ‘Play it Forward’, then ‘Get Playlist’.

If you’ve already tried out Spotify’s Year In Music for 2015, we’d love to see the results – be brave and share your top songs and artists below.
