iD reaches the half million mark

Lots of great things have happened on 24 January

Back in 1984, it was on this day that Apple unveiled the revolutionary Macintosh computer.

And this time last year, the X-Files returned to our TV screens after a 13-year absence. Good times.

24 January 2017 is another big day. Because iD, the mobile network from Carphone Warehouse, has just reached 500,000 customers. It’s an impressive number, especially when you consider iD has been around less than two years...

The network that listens

iD launched in May 2015 as ‘the network as individual as you’. It listens to customers, and creates plans that tackle common issues and frustrations. In the last year alone, these new initiatives have been launched:

Pay-as-you-go. Flexible, contract-free SIM plans that give you value for money. You simply pay for what you need by adding credit, or buying bundles of minutes, texts and data. More about Pay-as-you-go.

Data Rollover. A free feature on all GoTo plans, Data Rollover lets you roll over unused data to the next month, giving you a second chance to use it. More about Data Rollover.

Data Cushion. This new feature is currently available on selected Samsung deals. With Data Cushion, you get a 10GB pot of emergency data to fall back on at any time. More about Data Cushion.

Plans built around its customers

iD plans can be bought in Carphone Warehouse stores, and on the iD website. You can choose a plan below and pair it up with the phone of your choice, or go SIM only.

GoTo plans with the free Data Rollover feature mentioned above.

ShockProof plans that can be capped to prevent bill shock.

TakeAway plans that let you roam in 29 countries at no extra cost.

All iD plans come with 4G mobile internet as standard, and there’s also a handy iD Mobile app that lets you control your account when you’re out and about.

Over to you. Does iD sound like the kind of network you could see yourself signing-up to? Drop us a line below and let us know what you think.
