The LG G Watch has been on sale for less than two months, but LG is said to be ready to unveil its successor, the LG G Watch 2, at the IFA tech show in Berlin next month.
The new smartwatch is said to run Google’s Android Wear software for wearables, have an OLED screen, which should use less power than the G Watch’s LCD one, and have a new processor from Qualcomm.
Such a quick release of a second G Watch seems a little unlikely to us, but it has been said that LG could merely be showing it to investors and partners in a bid to get more people on board to help them develop it further.
We’ll be at IFA in Berlin from 3rd September and will be sure to keep an eye out for LG’s next smartwatch and let you know if we see anything.
