Kid using phoneGoogle is rumoured to be creating child friendly versions of its apps so kids can use the internet more safely.

At the moment, Google users should be over the age of 13. But with new versions of its apps, Google would simply ask a user’s age when they sign up for a Google account and tailor their experience to their ago.

That would let kids safely access sites and apps like YouTube and Google+ without the risk of finding stuff that’s not suitable for their age.

It’s also thought that parents would get a dashboard app that would let them easily monitor what their kids are doing online and on their mobiles.
