Everything you need to know about Sega Forever

Nintendo isn’t the only company reinvigorating its retro back catalogue for mobile. Sega is jumping on the bandwagon too, with Sega Forever. And this is everything you need to know…

What is Sega Forever?

If you chimed in with the “SEGAAAHH” intro on your TV when you were younger, then this is what you’ve been waiting for.

Sega Forever is a growing collection of Master System, Mega Drive, and Dreamcast games available to play on both Android and iOS devices. They all cost zero pounds to download, but to get rid of the ads you’ll have to part ways with £1.99.

Which games are included in Sega Forever?

At time of writing, the following titles are available to download:

More will be added every month, and from the looks of things, we can expect a Virtua Tennis game very soon. Sega’s also invites you to vote for new games on its Facebook page.

Before you run off to your app store to search for “Sega Forever”, we quickly discovered the titles aren’t all rolled into one app. You have to download each one separately - however, we’ve included all the links above to keep things simple.

Sonic The Hedgehog

The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that Sonic and pals were already available to play before the announcement of Sega Forever. And you’d be right, along with a bunch of other Sonic titles, including: Sonic Dash, Sonic Jump, and Sonic Racing.

To keep up to date with the latest from Sega, you can check out the official website. And if you’d like to ask us anything, just pop a comment below.
