5 reasons why you should buy Pixel

Google enters the smartphone arena

Pixel, a phone by Google, is the first smartphone the company has ever produced on its own, previously working alongside other manufacturers to create the Nexus range. Here are five reasons why you need to check out the all-Google smartphone.

Google Assistant

Google Assistant is a step up from Google Now, which appears on all Android smartphones. Google Assistant is a lot chattier, able to answer questions, translate languages on the go, and even tell the odd joke, to name just a few of its abilities.

Daydream View

Google’s new virtual reality headset, Daydream View, is made from lightweight fabric. It feels comfortable, looks great, and gives you quick access to the world of VR. Simply slot Pixel in the front and go. There’s also a handheld remote control, that lets you become part of the action.

Unlimited storage

Exclusively available with Pixel, you can enjoy unlimited cloud storage for all your full-sized, high-res photos and videos with Google Photos. And finding memories from years gone by is really easy. Simply ask Google Assistant to find whatever appears in your photo, and Google will find it for you.

For example, you could say: “Show me photos from my birthday last year”, or “Show me photos of elephants” and it knows exactly what you mean.

Awesome camera

Pixel has a 12.3MP camera, huge 1.55um pixels, and an f/2.0 aperture lens - to let in loads of light. More light equals better, more accurate, photos and with help from the high-resolution displays (Full HD on Pixel and Quad HD on Pixel XL), you’ll really be able to show off every detail.

Google Live Cases

Making a smartphone unique isn’t easy, but with Google Live Cases, you’re the designer. Pick from a range of exciting cases, from Chris Hadfield's photos from 300 miles above Earth, to Brooklyn street art. They all have their own live wallpapers, or you can create your own using your photos.
